Florida is a village in Orange County, New York. The population was 2,781 at the 2005 census estimates.
The Village of Florida is primarily in the Town of Warwick, but a small part of the northern end of the village is in the Town of Goshen. Florida is at the convergence of Routes 17A, 25, and 94. The current mayor is James R. Pawliczek, Sr., who was first elected in March, 2002.

History
Florida is known for its vast onion fields (the town is known as the Onion Capital of the World), as well as being the birthplace of William H. Seward, the Secretary of State under Abraham Lincoln who is remembered for his crusade to purchase Alaska from Russia.

The village was founded in 1760 and incorporated in 1946.

In the village the population was spread out with 26.7% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 12.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 90.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.0 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $54,893, and the median income for a family was $61,406.
